Power, Water and Waste, Alternative energies.
Industrial - Infrastructure,

How often is the MEED Projects database updated?
The database is updated by our dedicated Research team as and when new information
emerges.

How do I change my password?
1. Click on the "Settings" tab located in the menu
toolbar in the top right of the
page.
2. Select "Change Password" from the left-hand menu.
How do I view my list of email updates and favourite projects?
1. Click on the "Settings" tab located in the menu
toolbar in the top right of the
page and select "Email Updates".
2. From the menu on the left-hand side of the screen
you can modify, view or
export the list of projects which you
have set as favourite projects and email
updates.
How can I set email updates for existing projects?
There are two ways to request email updates:
1. Profile Page - Tick the box on the top left-hand
side of the profile to receive
email updates.
2. Search results Page - Tick the box to the left hand
side of the profile name
(there is also the option to select all
should you wish to).
How can I customize the frequency of my email updates?
1. Click on the "Settings" tab located in the menu
toolbar in the top right of the
page.
2. Select "Email Interval" from the menu on the left-hand
side of the screen, here
you can customize the duration to either
daily/weekly/monthly.
3. Click on 'Set Interval' to save your request.
How do I select the criteria for new project email alerts?
1. Click on the "Settings" tab located in the menu
toolbar in the top right of the
page.
2. Select "New Project Updates" from the left main
menu.
3. Here you can select the country and sectors you
wish to receive updates from.
I wish to customise my project profile to only see fields
which interest me.
1. Click on the "Settings" tab located in the menu
toolbar in the top right of the
page.
2. Select "Customise Profile" from the left-hand menu.
3. Filter the fields that you wish to view and click
on "set preferences" to save
your changes.
How do I track my research queries?
All your research queries are recorded on Home Page under 'My Tasks>Pending Contact
Research Query'.
How can I set project reminders?
1. From a project profile click on the notes and reminders
link located on the left
"Tools menu".
2. A new page will appear, place your comments, subject
and date and save the
note.
3. The new note will appear on the page where you will
be able to edit, delete and
export it to your outlook calendar.
How can I access project reminders?
There are 3 ways to access your notes and reminders from the 'Home' page:
1. Using the Calendar, click on the day you wish to
visit and a list of all pre-set
notes and reminders will appear in a
reverse chronological order. You will be
able to access the project profile, edit,
delete and export the note and
reminder.
2. Under 'My Tasks' there are two links:
i. Lists your notes and reminders
for today only.
ii. Lists all your pre-set
project reminders in a reverse chronological order.
How can I export my notes and reminders to my outlook?
1. Using the Calendar section on 'Home Page' click
on the day associated with
your set note and reminder.
2. A page will load detailing your reminders for the
day.
3. Click on the icon which allows you to export the
reminder to Outlook.
4. From the list you will be able to access the project
profile, edit, delete and
export the note and reminder.
I want to access projects that are of interest to me.
Is there an easy method to keep track of them?
You are able to tag projects of interest to your 'Home Page' from search results
generated through "Find It" or "Analyse It".
1. Tick the "Favourite Project" option to the left
of the project name and the
project will automatically be linked
on 'Home Page' under 'Favourite Projects'.
2. You can also tick "Favourite Projects" option from
the main project profile page.
What are saved searches?
MEED Projects offers you the opportunity to save any search or analysis you complete
as a hyperlink on your 'Home Page'.
All your saved searches and analysis will be located within the 'My Saved Searches'.
The results saved will be automatically updated as new projects within the search
or analysis criteria are added to the database.
What are the 3 different ways I can search?
There are 3 different search methods available within the "Find It" tab;
1. Project Search - Quick searching using project name
ideal if you know where
or what sector the project you are trying
to locate falls.
2. Advanced Search - Allows you to select multiple
criteria to drill down to find
specific project opportunities to meet
your needs. You can also search for key
words within the project profile.
3. Company Search - Compile a table of all projects
related to a specific EPC
contractor or Project Owner.
I want to print/email a project profile. How do I do that?
1. From the project profile page click on "printer
friendly view' on the left hand
menu to view in a printable format
2. From here you can print the profile or right click
to send the profile by email.
How can I view all the archived information in a project?
Click on 'Show Archives' icon from the left hand menu whilst on the project profile
page to view all archived data.
How can I print archived information in a project?
1. Click on 'printer friendly view' on the left hand
menu to view a printable format.
2. Select 'Show Archive' icon from the top of the project
profile.
3. Archived information will be displayed.
4. Click on the print icon.
How can I view contact details of key personnel associated
with a project?
1. Within each project profile you will find the "Key
Personnel" which displays the
contact details of the individuals associated
with the project, along with their
designations and telephone numbers.
2. To view all the projects associated with an individual,
click on their name this
will hyperlink to a list of projects
which they have worked on or are currently
working on.
How could I get more information about a particular project?
For more information on projects contact our team of analysts using "Contact Researcher"
which is located on the left-hand side of the project profile page.
How do I get more information on a particular contractor/competitor?
1. Select the 'Find It' tab and select Company Search.
2. Locate the relevant company from drop down lists
of contractors, consultants
and financers.
3. The results will demonstrate the workload for the
selected company.
You can also run an Award Workload report located under the 'Analyse It' tab to
view the workload by quarter for a particular contractor.

What types of reports are available in the "Analyse It"
tab?
There are 5 different reports available;
Graphical Presentation:
1. Award Workload - Graphical presentation of company
and or project workload
using pre - defined criteria.
2. Market Forecast - Graphical presentation of budget
vs. Award Workloads for
selected countries and sectors.
Tabular Presentation:
1. Award Schedule - list of projects expected to be
awarded within a specific time
frame.
2. Execution Schedule - list of projects currently
under execution within a given
time frame.
3. Flexi Report - allows you to tailor analysis from
a list of data points.
How do I find out if a particular region/country is a
potential market for my product?
1. Select the 'Analyse It' tab then click on
the Market Forecast report
2. You can then select the required country or region
(depending on your
subscription rights).
The search results demonstrate the budget and contract values by country. The underlying
data which makes up this report can also be exported to excel for further analysis.
Is it possible to segregate the projects which are only
Offshore?
Select the 'Analyse It' tab, click on Flexi Report and follow the 3 simple steps
below:
Stage 1
1. Filter your search criteria by selecting the region/country,
sectors, project and
profile status, award and completion
date.
You
may also define a specific budget or contract value, or select a specific
company or company
type.
The
Additional criteria dropdown offers you the opportunity to select projects
that require financing,
pipeline projects and offshore projects.
2. Choose offshore as your additional criteria
Stage 2
1. Stage 2 provides the opportunity to select additional
data points you wish to
download. Flexi report provides
default fields, these default fields are
everything in step number
1 including the project name. Tick the additional
fields you wish to download in
step number 2.
Stage 3
1. To further refine your search use a keyword and
define the fields in you wish
to search for your keyword.
Tell me how to get a list of projects that are going to
be awarded in the next six months?
1. From the "Analyse It" tool bar select 'Award Schedule'
2. Enter the period you would like to look at
My Flexi Report is only showing specific dates. How could
I increase the date duration?
When making a selection within the Flexi Report, choose the maximum Completion and
Award dates to generate the full list of projects available within the database.
How do I export a search and/or report result into Excel?
Click on the 'Export Data' icon which is always displayed on the bottom left hand
corner of any "Generated Results" page.
Can I copy and paste the search/report results?
1. To copy and paste the search/report results into
excel right click within the
generated results
2. Select 'copy this table'. Open a new excel sheet
and paste the results (either
through Edit>Paste or CTRL-V)

How can I request further tailored research?
