Although industrial contract awards have declined slightly over the past two years, awards from 2023–2025 still represent over 50% of the total industrial contract value since 2015. This underscores the region’s continued commitment to economic diversification and reducing its dependence on oil.
Saudi Arabia leads with the total value of planned and unawarded industrial projects with $86.8 billion. Around 73% of the total value of planned and unawarded projects are currently in the study phase.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE account for over 75% of the total value of industrial contract awards since 2015. Around $1.1 billion worth of projects have been established in Jubail, Saudi Arabia and around $450 million in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi in the UAE.
