ADNOC Onshore - AiP5 Production Enhancement Plan: Bab & North East Bab Tie-In Facilities
ADNOC Onshore is planning to undertake the construction of the Bab & North East Bab Tie-In facilities project in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.
The One Tie-In project at the Bab and North East Bab field developments is integral to Adnoc Onshoreâs contribution to its parent company Adnoc Groupâs objective of achieving an oil production capacity of 5 million barrels a day (b/d) by 2027 â a campaign known as Accelerated Integrated Programme 5.
The project aims is to establish infrastructure in accordance with the NEB P5 directive, focusing on Al Nouf, Rumaitha, and Shannayel facilities. Crude oil extracted from these locations is directed to MP-21 before being transported to export terminals at Jebel Dhanna and Fujairah. The Al Nouf (Dabbâiya) field is situated in a coastal or shallow marine area, while the Rumaitha/Shanayel structures are located onshore near the southwestern coast of Abu Dhabi. The project encompasses the development of both on-plot (CPP) piping systems and off-plot clusters, pipelines, and trunklines.
Adnoc Onshore has divided the scope of work on the Bab and North East Bab One Tie-In project into 18 packages, which are as follows:
The US$1200 million project includes the following:
Bab asset:
Package 1: Off-pad â Demolition and construction of existing oil-producing wells as per the high hydrogen sulphide (H2S) standard package.
Package 2:Off-pad â Construction of new oil-producing wells as per the high H2S standard package.
Package 3:On-pad â Demolition and construction of existing oil-producing wells as per the high H2S standard package.
Package 4:On-pad â Construction of new oil-producing wells as per the high H2S standard package.
Package 5:On-pad â Construction of facilities at mini-pad, pad or well bay for tie-in of new oil-producing wells as per high H2S standard package.
Package 6:Off-pad â Construction of new oil-producing wells (low H2S) as per standard package.
Package 7:
A. Construction of water supply, disposal and injection wells as per standard package;
B. Construction of off-pad water injection wells;
C. Construction of on-pad water injection wells and water injection manifold.
Package 8:Off-Pad â Digitalisation of existing wells.
Package 17:
A. Well bay: On-pad wells, flowline, common facilities (PSS, CI skid, WHCP), overhead line
B. Mini-pad: On-pad wells, transfer line, blow down header, common facilities (PSS, manifold-OIL, MPFM, CI SKID, WHCP, drain oil network, pig launcher, receiver, potable water system), overhead line
C. Off-pad: Gas lift oil producer well
D. On-pad: Gas lift oil producer;
E. Electrical submersible pump (ESP) well: on-pad;
