Saudi Aramco - COUR: Gas Compression Facilities: Phase IV
Saudi Aramco is planning to undertake the construction of a gas compression facility, phase IV, in Saudi Arabia.
The development involves two gas compression trains, each with a capacity of 200 million cubic feet per day. Key facilities include processing of inlet gas, handling of condensate and produced water, utilities such as nitrogen generation, potable and raw water services, chemical injection, and systems for flare gas recovery. It also includes the construction of support infrastructure such as firewater, sanitary, stormwater, potable, and raw water systems.
The US$1,500 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of two gas compression trains, each of 200 million cf/d capacity, measuring 400 by 400 metres
2. Construction of gas compression plant inlet area
3. Construction of gas compression plant condensate and produced-water handling facilities
4. Construction of outside battery-limit buildings, including all infrastructure located within the gas compression plant footprint, while excluding security buildings
5. Construction of a nitrogen generation unit
6. Construction of raw and potable water utilities
7. Construction of chemical injection systems
8. Installation of diesel systems
9. Installation of flare and flare gas recovery systems
10. Construction of gas compression plant burn pit
11. Installation of the closed drain system and oily water system
12. Installation of a sanitary water system
13. Installation of the stormwater system and firewater system
14. Installation of the fire and gas protection system
15. Instrumentation and plant air unit
16. Construction of other associated plant facilities and utility networks
