NUCA - Ras El Hekma City Master Plan
New Urban Communities Authority is undertaking the construction of a mixed-use mega-city at Egyptâs Mediterranean North Coast, named Ras El Hekma Mega City.
It spans approximately 170 million square metres, with the first phase covering about 50 million square metres. It combines residential spacesâapartments, townhouses, villasâwith hospitality, office, retail, and entertainment facilities.
Key components include a free zone, international marina, international airport, high-speed rail links, championship golf courses, wellness centres, schools, hospitals, green open spaces, and marinas. Intended as a smart, sustainable coastal city for around 2 million people, it is designed for year-round living with infrastructure and systems that support business, tourism, and lifestyle excellence.
The US$150,000 million project includes the following:
1. Development of residential units: apartments, townhouses and villas
2. Beach reclamation works
3. Construction of hospitality, hotel and resort facilities, and related entertainment zones
4. Construction of office spaces
5. Construction of residential units
6. Construction of Two 18-hole Golf Courses
7. Construction of an international airport
8. Development of special free zone and international marina facilities
9. Construction of Equestrian Centre
10. Construction of a 44 km beachfront
11. Construction of mobility infrastructure and transport networks
12. Construction of schools, hospitals, retail, wellness, and business facilities
13. Development of secondary infrastructure
14. Development of Golf Course
15. Construction of Bridges
