ADNOC Gas - Bab Gas Cap Development Programme
ADNOC Gas is planning to undertake the development of the Bab Gas Cap project in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.
ADNOC plans to develop the Bab Gas Cap reservoir as an upstream asset. The Bab Gas Cap project has been launched to create a new source of supply of rich gas streams. To facilitate the incremental volumes of gas, a greenfield gas processing plant with a processing capacity of approximately 1,855 mmscfd by 2027 at the earliest. This plant will primarily focus on processing the rich feedstock streams and will lead to a growth in condensate and NGL production, resulting in product mix enhancement and capacity expansion for ADNOC Gas Processing. It will also contribute to the development of Fujairah LNG and TAZIZ Petrochemical expansion.
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) will hold the majority 60% participating interest in the concession. The remaining stakes will be held by Franceâs TotalEnergies (10%), the UKâs BP (10%), China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) International (8%), Japan Oil Development Company (Jodco) Onshore (5%), China ZhenHua Oil (4%) and Korea GS E&P (3%).
The project is being developed in four EPC packages and Gas Producing and Gas Injection Wells.
The potential production of 1.5 BCFD of gas and 80 MBD of condensate.
The project's design scope includes the development of gas processing and conditioning units, acid gas recovery units, dehydration units, sulfur recovery units, NGL recovery units, and CO2 capture facilities.
