QatarEnergy - NGL-5 Project
Qatar Energy is undertaking the development of NGL-5 in Mesaieed, Qatar.
The project involves the early site preparation works for NGL 5 in an area of approximately 800,000 m2 in the Mesaieed Industrial Complex on the south of the existing Qatar Energy Tank farm and Refinery, and north of the existing Station-S in Mesaieed, Qatar.

The shoreline is approximately 2 km southeast of the construction site.
The US$2540 million project includes the following:
1. Early site preparation works
2. Construction of NGL platform
3. Construction of access roads
4. Construction of detailed engineering & procurement works
5. Construction of fencing and gates
6. Earthworks including excavation, backfilling, sub-grading, and grading
7. Installation of safety and security systems
8. Construction of other associated facilities

Main Package: Larsen & Toubro Energy Hydrocarbon has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the development of the project and the expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2028.

Main Package: Contractors have extended the validity of their technical bids for the project. Given that these bids are valid until the end of August and that the evaluation of commercial bids is currently in progress, it is anticipated that client will award the main EPC contract by the end of August.
