NCP/ZATCA - National K9 Training Center and Points of Entry
Saudi Arabiaâs Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is planning to undertake the construction of a K9 training centre and Points of Entry (PoEs) in Jeddah and Dammam, Saudi Arabia. It also encompasses the expansion of existing K9 facilities at the Jeddah Islamic Port. The project serves all 34 Points of Entry (PoEs) across Saudi Arabia, including 26 currently operational and 8 that are expected to become operational by 2030. Key facilities will cover vet care, kennels, training and accommodation for dogs and handlers, as well as equipment and supplies management.
The National Centre for Privatisation & PPP is the government authority involved in privatisation and public-private partnerships.
The US$932 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of a K9 training center
2. Construction of three, new K9 facilities:
a. K9 facility at King Abdullah Port in King Abdullah Economic City with maintenance of existing PoEs
b. K9 facility at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam with maintenance of existing PoEs
c. Expansion of K9 facility at Jeddah Islamic Seaport with maintenance of existing PoEs
3. Construction of a veterinary care unit
4. Construction of a veterinarian accommodation facility
5. Infrastructure works
6. Construction of associated facilities
