Saudi Aramco - Safaniyah Oilfield Wellhead Platforms (CRPO 155)
Saudi Aramco is planning to undertake the construction of four wellhead platforms for the Safaniya oilfield, Saudi Arabia.
This project aims to deliver four new production deck modules (PDMs)/wellhead platforms, intra-field pipeline networks and main trunklines to shore, along with platform jackets.
It will include engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of offshore structures and pipelines. The projectâs key intention is to increase oil production output and optimise field infrastructure in the mature Safaniyah field. Notable outcomes include strengthened production capacity, greater operational resilience, and more efficient transport of oil to onshore processing facilities.
The US$200 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of four production deck modules (PDMs)/wellhead platforms offshore
2. Fabrication and installation of platform jackets
3. Installation of intra-field pipelines connecting new platforms
4. Installation of main trunklines to shore
5. Integration and hook-up of pipelines with existing offshore and onshore facilities
6. Mechanical, electrical, and control systems work for platforms and pipelines
7. Subsea infrastructure installation, including pipeline laying and subsea supports
8. Construction of supporting facilities offshore, including access and support modules
