QIC - The Qiddiya Project: City Center: Sports Complex: National Athletics Stadium
Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) is planning to develop an Olympics-style multipurpose stadium called "National Athletics Stadium" located within the Qiddiya Sports Park cluster of Qiddiya City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The multipurpose stadium will cover an area of approximately 182,000 square metres and is being benchmarked against the design of the London Olympic Stadium.
The US$1890 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of a multipurpose stadium
2. Construction of retractable roof, pitch, LED wall
3. Construction of shopping, dining, and entertainment areas
4. Construction of parking facilities
5. Construction of spectator Stands
6. Infrastructure works
7. Construction of associated facilities

The main contract tender is expected to be issued by the end of January 2026. The following are the qualified companies to bid: Nesma and Partners Contracting, China Railway Construction, Saudi Binladin Group and Webuild, and the *JV of Concord for Engineering & Contracting, China Railway NO.3 Engineering Group, Safari and Sir Robert Mcalpine, *JV of China Harbour Engineering, Al Ayuni Investment and Contracting and Tekfen Construction and Installation, *JV of El Seif Engineering Contracting, MIDMAC Contracting, *JV of Al Bawani and Besix group, JV of Almabani General Contractors and Bouygues.
