ADNOC Offshore - Expansion of Upper Zakum Field Development: Package III
ADNOC Offshore is undertaking the development of the expansion of the Upper Zakum Offshore Field Development Package 3 in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.
This project leverages artificial islands, AI-enabled control systems, and clean-grid power to significantly boost oil production capacity in the Upper Zakum offshore concession. It aims to raise current output from around 1.0 million barrels per day to 1.5 million bpd.
The key components include new wellhead facilities, separation and processing units, utilities, water injection systems, pipelines, and modernization tie-ins. The outcomes will include greater reliability, reduced emissions through the use of cleaner energy and digital automation, enhanced reservoir recovery, and strengthened long-term production to support both domestic demand and export requirements.
This project is a part of the Expansion of the Upper Zakum Field Development
The US$5666 million project includes the following:
1. Installation of gas lift compression system
2. Installation of seawater intake pumps and filtration system
3. Installation of instrument air and air dryer packages
4. Installation of nitrogen generation and chemical injection packages
5. Installation of onshore pipeline and tie-ins
6. Upgradation of multiple decks at gas lift platforms
7. Construction of gas dehydration and vapour recovery units
8. Construction of electro chlorination package
9. Construction of pipe racks and modular rooms
10. Construction of storage facilities and infield pipelines
