ADNOC Gas - EWEC Mirfa Relocation + AI Data Center Phase 2 - Habshan Al-Nouf Pipeline
ADNOC Gas is undertaking the construction of a high-pressure sales gas pipeline and associated utility infrastructure in Abu Dhabi, Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The new 56â Habshan to AL NOUF sales gas pipeline and associated facilities to be installed between COMPANYâs Habshan Complex to AL NOUF EWEC Plant.
52â JUMP OVER BETWEEN MERAM AND ESTIDAMA PKG 3
A 52â interconnection including ROV and associated facilities shall be provided between MERAM 56â sales gas pipeline tie-in and ESTIDAMA Package-3 56â pipeline tie-in. 52â piping to be installed on the existing / new pipe rack to cross the existing pipeline corridor. Cold tap Tie-ins on both existing pipeline is envisaged to install this jump over connection. The existing MERAM plot or ESTIDAMA Package 3 plot at 8.2km shall be extended to install the new ROV and associated facilities.
This project will link the Habshan gas complex to the Al Nouf Consumer Receiving Stations (CRSs) to supply gas for the EWEC Mirfa Relocation and AI Data Center Phase 2. It includes a 127 km, 56-inch diameter pipeline, pig launcher and receiver facilities, block valve stations, tie-in lines to industrial power plants, and dual CRS units equipped for filtering, metering, gas quality control and regulatory pressure control.
The aim is to increase gas transmission capacity to support the Al Nouf 1 IPP (3.3 GW) and subsequent AI Data Center Phase 2 hubs, ensure a reliable supply at a minimum downstream pressure of 25 barg, and free up land for sustainable energy and infrastructure development by relocating utilities and power lines at Mirfa. Increased capacity ensures the plant and AI Centre are adequately fueled for both current and future demand.
The US$407 million project includes the following:
56â Sales Gas Pipeline â Habshan to AL NOUF:
1. Construction of a new 56â sales gas pipeline, a length of 127 km from Habshan to AL NOUF CRS
2. Construction through the Sabkha area for a length of 100 km of pipeline route
3. Laying of pipeline parallel to existing pipeline facilities
4. Installation of dual Fiber Optic Cables (FOC) on both sides of the pipeline
5. Construction of 30 Non-Destructive Road Crossings (NDRCs), predominantly by micro-tunnelling
6. Construction of four (4) Block Valve Stations (647-BVS-01 to 647-BVS-04)
7. Installation of 56â scraper receiver at AL NOUF CRS for pipeline cleaning and inspection
Data AI Project- Phase II -CRS 1:
1. Installation of sales gas filters
2. Installation of custody transfer metering skid
3. Installation of pressure regulating skid
4. Installation of a gas chromatograph and a hydrocarbon dew point analyser inside the AC shelter
5. Installation of flow-limiting control valves with bypass control valves
Mirfa Relocation -CRS 2:
1. Installation of sales gas filters
2. Installation of custody transfer metering skid
3. Installation of pressure regulating skid
4. Installation of a gas chromatograph and a hydrocarbon dew point analyser inside the AC shelter
5. Installation of flow-limiting control valves with bypass control valves
6. Installation of all interconnecting piping, valves, and fittings
7. Installation of electrical, instrumentation & control systems
8. Installation of cathodic protection system for Mirfa Relocation CRS 2
9. Installation of fire & gas detection system
