KSIADC - King Salman International Airport: Landside Package: Terminal 6: Substructure Works
King Salman International Airport is undertaking the construction of substructure works for Terminal 6 under the landside package at King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The work supports the future Terminal 6 building by delivering the below-ground structural elements needed for safe and stable construction. It focuses on early-stage enabling and foundation activities, including excavation, ground support, and concrete substructures, to prepare the terminal plot for the next construction phases.
The US$216 million amount project includes the following:
1. Substructure works for the terminal
2. Excavation and earthworks for below-ground terminal formation levels
3. Ground improvement and soil stabilization works
4. Installation of shoring and excavation support systems
5. Construction of bored or driven piling works
6. Construction of pile caps, ground beams, and foundation slabs
7. Construction of basement retaining walls and core foundations
8. Waterproofing, protection, and joint sealing to below-ground structures
9. Provision of below-ground drainage and temporary dewatering systems
10. Backfilling, compaction, and formation of subgrade levels
