QatarEnergy LNG - NFED: LNG Processing Trains (EPC 1)
Qatargas is undertaking the construction of LNG trains each with a capacity of 7.8MTPA in Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), Qatar.
The project is also referred to as Inside Batteries Limits Plots (ISBL). The NFE project will feature the latest compression technology to reduce 60,000 tons of CO2 per train each year without any reduction in LNG production.
The US$15,500 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of four mega LNG trains
2. Construction of utilities & offsite facilities which are located within Lot W2/3 & W1A
3. Construction of Helium recovery unit located at Lot W1A
4. Construction of non-technical buildings
a. Construction of warehouses located at Lot W1A
b. Construction of workshops located at Lot W1A
5. Construction of administration building at existing Barzan admin area to save the plot space
6. Construction of associated facilities
7. Installation of 4 Air Separation Units (ASUs)
8. Installation of 2 auxiliary storage and vaporization systems
9. Installation of main refrigerant compressor (MRC) trains

b. Installation of 24 centrifugal compressors
