Emirates Water & Electricity Company (EWEC) is planning to construct Al Ajban solar PV power plant (IPP) in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.

The US$1125 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of 1,500 MW power plant

2. Installation of solar panels of PV modules

3. Construction of control rooms

4. Construction of the operating building

5. Construction of associated facilities

Marubeni Corporation amongst others have submitted the EOI documents. Market sources indicates that ACWA Power, Total, Engie and EDF has also submitted the EOI documents however the official confirmation is yet to be done.
